MathMan Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MathMan collects, uses, shares, and protects information when account owners and learners use the MathMan website and Android app.

Information We Collect

MathMan collects the information needed to run account-managed math practice:

• Account owner information, such as name, email address, and Google sign-in details.
• Group and learner profile information, such as group name, learner name, and optional learner email address.
• Practice activity, such as selected operations, answers, scores, skill levels, session times, streaks, and progress history.
• Login and invite information, such as account sessions, learner login links, learner login codes, and related expiration times.
• Technical information, such as app version, browser or device type, timezone, request logs, and basic diagnostic information needed to operate and secure the service.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create and manage account owner, group, and learner profiles.
• Authenticate account owners with Google sign-in and allow learners to access practice through owner-created login links or codes.
• Provide math practice, score answers, track progress, and show progress dashboards.
• Secure the service, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, and maintain reliable app operation.
• Respond to privacy, support, and account deletion requests.

Learner Privacy

MathMan is designed for account-managed use. Account owners create learner profiles and control learner access. Learners are not required to use Google sign-in. We do not knowingly collect more learner information than is needed to provide math practice and progress tracking for the account.

Sharing Information

MathMan does not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the service, comply with law, protect rights and security, or with service providers that help us host, secure, and maintain MathMan.

MathMan uses Google services for account owner sign-in and Google Play distribution. Google may process information according to its own privacy policy when those services are used.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, including encrypted network connections, server-side access controls, and limited use of session and login tokens. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep account, group, learner profile, and practice information while it is needed to provide MathMan. Account owners may request deletion of their account and associated learner data. When a deletion request is verified, we will delete associated account and practice data unless retention is required for legal, security, or operational reasons. Account deletion requests can be submitted at mathman.org/account-deletion.html.

Your Choices

Account owners can choose what learner profile information to provide, whether to include an optional learner email address, and when to create or stop using learner login links. Account owners can also sign out of MathMan and request account deletion.
